The queen is late!
The queen has been dead for a few days now, and the country has shut down - sort of. All the shops are open, but go out of their way to show how grief-stricken they are. Estate agents are displaying identical memorial sentiments instead of houses, Supermarkets have lowered the volume of their tills. Radio 2 is playing sad tunes only.
Pictured above is a memorial to Queen Elizabeth 2 displayed on a TV in the window of our local poundland. No higher tribute hath any monarch, and all that.
Elsewhere you can find remembrance books and framed photographs in any Asda.
What happens after the mourning period is over. Are they incinerated on site, or packaged up and sent to King Charles III to read through?
