A red lit pool table with a tall shaven-head man holding a pool queue

It’s April, and we’ve taken the caravan out for the third time this year, and for the second time to the Shay Oak at Tiverton.

The Shady is rapidly becoming one of our favourite sites as:

  • It’s on the grounds on a pub.

  • It caters to both touring caravans and tents, meaning our non-caravan friends can tag along.

  • There’s a canal at the bottom of the pub garden.

Knowing this after our first visit, we dragged an ancient rubber dinghy out of the loft, and loaded it up with beer, then spent an entertaining couple of days on the canal. Roll on summer.
